Patrice Lwabaguma is a senior expert in mining governance, monitoring decentralized territorial entities, electoral matters, and peace and reconciliation in the Great Lakes region. He is a certified trainer in the field of peace and reconciliation and active nonviolence, with over 25 years of experience in community dynamics in the DRC.

I regularly collaborate with European institutions and programs, local and regional authorities, universities, and private companies around the world. Patrice Lwabaguma works as the head of the Institute for Governance and Electoral Education, a Congolese civil society organization, and in project development for European programs. Patrice Lwabaguma provides technical assistance, training, and consultancy services to many local organizations in the DRC. He specializes in youth issues in the Grand Lakes region. He is also the Vice President of the platform of youth organizations in the Great Lakes region, Elite East Africa.

I have also acquired extensive experience as a trainer for decentralized territorial entities, an expert in electoral matters, and in action research on the integration of the forest sector into the EITI process in the DRC, particularly in monitoring human rights violations in artisanal mining in eastern DRC.
