From May 17 to 31, 2024, a mission was held in Abidjan initiated by Madame Marie Noelle Koyara, in her capacity as Africa coordinator of the Rethinking Security in Africa Initiative.
During this mission, meetings took place among others with the Office of the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Côte d’Ivoire, the National Chamber of Kings and Traditional Chiefs, NGOs, the UNESCO Chair in Water, Women and Decision-making Power and Representation. of ECOWAS in Ivory Coast.
During the various audiences granted to her, the Africa coordinator of the RAS returned to the need to build lasting peace and security which takes into account human needs and which is fundamentally based on the traditional approaches which Africa abounds in. in terms of conflict resolution.
